Terms & Conditions

These terms apply when you purchase a ticket for NovaLex 2026. Please read them before you book as you will be asked to accept them at checkout. For any queries, email us at info@novalexconference.com before buying.

01Who we are

NovaLex is a conference for students interested in a career in commercial law, run by Legal Pulse, an unincorporated association (“NovaLex”, “we”, “us”).

In these terms, “the event” means NovaLex 2026, and “you” means the person who buys a ticket or attends.

02The event

NovaLex 2026 takes place on Saturday 24 October 2026, 09:30–16:30, at Bush House Auditorium, King’s College London, 30 Aldwych, London WC2B 4BG. It is a full-day, in-person event.

A ticket entitles you to admission to the event on that date, access to the sessions on the published programme, and the light refreshments described on our website. It does not include travel, accommodation or any other cost.

03Tickets and payment

Tickets are sold in releases. The price shown at the time you book is the price you pay, and it includes the payment processing fee. Once a release sells out, any remaining tickets are sold at the price of the next release.

Payment is taken by Stripe, our payment provider. We do not see or store your card details. Your booking is confirmed once payment is complete, and Stripe will email you a payment receipt. There is no separate ticket.

Tickets are sold to individuals for their own attendance. They are not for resale, and we may refuse admission on a ticket that has been resold.

04Refunds and cancellations

To request a refund, email info@novalexconference.com from the email address you used to book, before the deadline above. You do not need to give a reason.

We will refund the price you paid minus the payment processing fee charged on your original transaction. That fee is charged by our payment provider and is not returned to us when a refund is issued.

Refunds are returned to the card used to book. They usually take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank.

After the deadline, tickets are non-refundable to account for venue, catering and staffing costs.

If we cancel the event, you will receive a full refund of the price you paid, including the payment processing fee. You do not need to apply for it. We will process it automatically to the card used to book and email you to confirm.

05Changes to the programme

The published programme, session titles and speakers are subject to change. Speakers occasionally withdraw at short notice for reasons outside our control, and we may substitute a speaker or session of comparable standing. Changes of this kind are not grounds for a refund, and the refund deadline in clause 4 applies as normal.

06Admission and conduct

Please arrive in time for registration. We may ask to see your Stripe payment receipt or ID on arrival.

We expect everyone to behave professionally and with respect towards speakers, staff, venue employees and other attendees. We may refuse admission to, or remove, anyone who behaves abusively, disruptively or unlawfully, or who does not follow reasonable instructions from us or from venue staff. No refund is given in these circumstances.

While at the venue you are also subject to the venue’s own rules, including its health, safety and security requirements.

07Photography and filming

We take photographs and record video at the event for use on our website, in our marketing and on our social media channels. By attending, you agree that you may appear in these images and recordings.

If you would rather not be photographed, tell us at info@novalexconference.com before the event or speak to a member of the team at registration, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

08Your personal data

We use the information you give us when booking to administer your ticket, contact you about the event and, where you have agreed, to tell you about future editions. How we handle your data is set out in our Privacy Policy.

09Liability

Subject to the paragraph below, our total liability to you in connection with your ticket and the event is limited to the price you paid for your ticket. We are not responsible for travel, accommodation or other costs you incur in connection with attending, or for loss or damage to your belongings at the venue.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

10Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in this clause affects your rights as a consumer.
